How Does Mail-In Repair Work?
Mail-in repair allows you to send your device to an authorized repair facility for service.
If mail-in repair is available for your claim, you will receive instructions and a shipping label from bolt.
Before Mailing Your DeviceBefore sending your device for repair:
- Back up your data. Your device may need to be reset or wiped during the repair process.
- Use the shipping label provided by bolt. This ensures your device is sent to the correct repair facility.
- Remove all accessories. Remove cases, chargers, styluses, and other accessories before shipping your device.
- Remove your SIM and memory cards. SIM cards, SD cards, and other removable memory cards should not be included with your device.
Accessories and removable cards sent with your device may not be returned.
After You Ship Your DeviceOnce your device has been shipped using the provided label, you can check your bolt claims portal for updates on your repair.
Why Is Mail-In Repair My Only Option? Not every claim qualifies for the same repair options.
In some cases, mail-in repair may be the only option available based on factors such as:
- Your device
- The reported incident
- Parts availability
- Repair options available for your specific claim
Your bolt claims portal will display the fulfillment options available to you.
