# Where Can I Find My Device's IMEI?

## How to locate the IMEI number needed to identify your device when filing a claim.

An IMEI, or International Mobile Equipment Identity, is a unique number used to identify your mobile device.

You may be asked to provide your device's IMEI when filing a USAA Device Protection claim.

**How to Find Your IMEI**

### Dial From Your Phone

- On many smartphones, you can dial:
- **\*#06#**
- Your IMEI should automatically appear on the screen.

### iPhone

- You can usually find your IMEI by going to:
- **Settings → General → About**
- Scroll down until you see **IMEI**.

### Android

The location may vary by manufacturer, but you can typically find your IMEI by going to:

**Settings → About Phone**

Look for **IMEI** or **IMEI Information**.

**Other Places to Check**

Depending on your device, the IMEI may also appear:

- On the original device packaging
- In your wireless carrier account
- On your device purchase documentation

If your phone has more than one IMEI listed, make sure you provide the IMEI associated with the device and wireless line involved in your claim.
